Good Freewares Part 2

Didn't know that I would start of the Part 2 of Good Freewares so soon. But hey, why wait? This part of this entry will inform you previous freewares that I've downloaded. Most are from http://www.download.com/ and some are from various websites. These freewares have been tested by me and I've found them to very useful for all kinds of endeavor that you may take or partake.

Here is the list:

  1. 7-Zip 4.44 beta for Compression / Decompression of Files & Folders, like Win Zip
  2. Ad-Aware SE Personal for catching spy wares and ad wares
  3. Audacity 1.2.6 for sound / music editing (thank you to Tim Heron from Australia for introducing it to me)
  4. Audio Editor Pro 2.71 - another sound editor
  5. AVG 7.5 for Windows - free antivirus (I'm quite sure you all will know this by now)
  6. BizForm Bar 4.1 for memorizing passwords when you want to log in into your accounts or into certain web pages in websites - very useful to remember tons of websites' passwords
  7. CCleaner 1.39.502 - it's a registry cleaner
  8. Cucusoft DVD to iPod Converter - for MP4 conversion
  9. DeepBurner - free CD and DVD (I think) burner software (it's like Nero, except that DeepBurner is free)
  10. FlashGet Setup v1.82 for downloading multiple files / application from different, different websites at the same time and it has automatic downloading if your Internet connection is lost
  11. Fraps 2.9.1 for screens capture and frames captures
  12. K-Lite Codex Pack 3.2.5 Full for Codex
  13. LAME MP3 encoder 3.96.1 for Codex
  14. Magic Audio Converter 8.3.2 for sound / music conversion
  15. Magic Audio Editor Pro 10.3.10 for sound / music editing
  16. Media Player Classic 6.4.9.0.zip - a lightweight multimedia player
  17. Free Registry Fix 3.9 - another registry cleaner
  18. Post-it Software Notes Lite 3.1.1 - this is a really, really good freeware, which allow you to stick any notes on your monitor screen
  19. Quicknote 5.3 - not exactly like a Note Pad; it's more for jotting down running thoughts in your mind
  20. Trillian 3.1.6.0.exe - this one is interesting in the sense that it's a messenger that combines your Windows Live (or MSN) messenger, Yahoo! messenger and AOL messenger into one messenger
  21. Videora iPod Converter 2.19 for converting your DVD movies into iPod mp4 and just general mp4 (great for ripping DVD)
  22. VLC Media Player 0.8.6 - an alternative to Windows Media Player - it features a lightweight video and audio player for almost all multimedia formats
  23. WavePad 3.05 for sound editing
  24. WinRAR 3.70 - alternative to licensed WinZip
  25. ZipItFast Setup 3.0 PRO Released - another alternative to licensed Win Zip

Good Freewares Part 1

Hello everyone. How are you? This entry I'll be giving you all some information on good freewares that I have downloaded from http://www.download.com/ to facilitate usage of computer. Well, basically I needed tools to edit text document, to edit HTML, to edit pictures or photographs, to edit sounds and mp3 music, to capture screens, and to secure access to folders and files.

Here is the list below:
  1. PC Image Editor 3.65 for computer image editing
  2. Photobie 4 for photograph editing
  3. EditPad Lite 6.3 for text document editing and HTML editing
  4. XnView 1.91 for screen capture
  5. Kruptos 2 3.16 for folder and file access security through encryption / decryption

I still have more freewares but I haven't tested them yet to tell whether they are good to use or not. I'll try to blog that the next time in Part 2 of Good Freewares.
